A warm welcome back to Nicole McDonald, a dynamic force in our coaching ranks who brings not just enthusiasm but experience to the U15 Girls team!

From Netball Courts to the AFL Oval

Nicole’s sporting journey is a testament to her versatility. Having started playing AFL with the Surfers Paradise Demonettes in 2018, she made a transition from netball, a sport she had played since the tender age of 7. But with Nicole (and her family’s) love of the game it led her to AFL just before celebrating her 40th birthday, showcasing her passion and commitment to new challenges.

Coaching Background

Nicole has been assisting as a coach for the last few years and last year, Nicole took on the role of Assistant Coach for our Under 15 girls, making an indelible mark on the team. Her dedication to player development and positive influence were instrumental in creating a supportive and thriving environment for our girls.

A Valued Return to the Team

We’re excited to have Coach Nicole back. She will be Co-Coaching this year with a new coach, soon to be announced, and will be part of a dynamic U15 girls coaching team, continuing to inspire and guide our girls. Her unique journey and love for the game make her an invaluable asset to our coaching staff.
